From Munich Airport (Franz-Josef-Strauß):
  • By S-Bahn (Suburban Train):
    Take the S8 S-Bahn line from the airport towards "Herrsching” (the final destination might be different somtimes, but there is only one S8 anyway, so don´t worry). Trains depart approximately every 20 minutes, and the journey takes about 30 minutes. Get off the train at the station "Ostbahnhof" (Munich East). Munich Airport
  • From Ostbahnhof (Munich East Station) to KSH München:
    From Ostbahnhof, it's a short walk to the venue. Exit the station towards Odeonsplatz, continue onto Bordeauxplatz, then turn right onto Preysingstraße. The university will be on your left.
From Munich Hauptbahnhof (Main Train Station):
  • By S-Bahn:
    Take any eastbound S-Bahn line (S1, S2, S3, S4, S6, S8) to "Ostbahnhof" (Munich East). Trains run frequently, and the journey takes approximately 5 minutes. rome2rio.com
  • By U-Bahn (Subway):
    Alternatively, take the U5 line towards "Neuperlach Süd" and alight at "Ostbahnhof." The journey takes about 8 minutes. rome2rio.com
  • From Ostbahnhof to KSH München:
    Follow the walking directions as mentioned above.
From München Ostbahnhof (Munich East Station):

The Katholische Stiftungshochschule München is within walking distance from München Ostbahnhof:

  • Walking Directions:
    Exit the station towards Odeonsplatz, continue onto Bordeauxplatz, then turn right onto Preysingstraße. The university is located at Preysingstraße 95 and will be on your left.

  • Public Transportation Tickets:
    Munich's public transportation system (MVV) offers single tickets, day passes, and group tickets. Tickets can be purchased at station kiosks or via the MVV mobile app. Ensure you validate your ticket before boarding. Munich Airport
  • Taxis:
    Taxis are readily available at the airport and train stations. A taxi ride from Munich Airport to the venue takes approximately 30-40 minutes, depending on traffic.

    From Rosenheimer Platz, it's a short walk to the venue. Exit the station towards "Gasteig” and enter the building called "Gasteig”. The Carl-Orff-Saal is located within this building.
From the conference venue (KSH Munich):

In case you take part in a SIG, it is likely that you will head towards the Car-Orff-Saal from the KSH Munich. From the KSH, it is a 12-minute walk to the Carl-Orff-Saal. When leaving the campus via Preysingstraße, go straight down Preysingstraße until you come across the "Holzhofstraße”. Turn left into the Holzhofstraße. The building called "Gasteig”, in which the Carl-Orff-Saal is located, will be to your right. Note: We will also provide "walking busses” (i.e., guided walks) from the registration point at the KSH to the Carl-Orff-Saal.
